a] Store Manager, London, UK - Full Time: 5 Days a Week

Earl of East is looking for a dedicated and passionate Store Manager to join our growing team and operate our newest store in London. The role is ideal for someone with an entrepreneurial spirit and a hands-on approach. We are looking for a candidate to inspire others, be able to problem solve and drive sales holistically. The successful candidate will be a skilled professional, able to grace this role with passion, attention to detail and joy.

Purpose of the Role:

The Store Manager will be a natural leader, with a passion and appreciation for our products, partner brands and consultative style of Retail Service which we have industry recognition for. You’ll be responsible for providing inspiration, training, operational leadership, and an ability to set the Retail team up for success to ultimately drive results as though the store is your own. You’ll be confident in sharing knowledge with the wider business including wholesale, production, creative and forging relationships within the wider company.Earl of East Managers are the face of the retail business and the window into everything we do.

As a Store Manager you will have to:

  • Ensure the smooth running of the shop floor through feedback, coaching and organisation and performance management where needed.

  • Take ownership of stores KPI’s (ATV, Conversion, Revenue, Loyalty Sign Up) and have a solution focused approach to developing these further.

  • Initiate the implementation of ideas to improve the successes of the retail business and an awareness of the goings on in the wider business.

  • Have a curiosity in our diverse customer base, a welcoming demeanour and excellent levels of customer service at all times leading the shop floor by example. 

  • Ensure that company operations and procedures are implemented and followed on a day to day basis. 

  • Set the retail team up for success through training and ownership of their development.

  • Oversee inventory checks, making sure stock levels are monitored and communicated to the e-commerce team.

  • Ensure the store is consistently clean, merchandised and have a commercial approach to product placement to maximise sales opportunities.

  • Formulate and present quarterly objectives with the senior management team, be able to work towards milestones whilst monitoring performance and well-being.

  • Work closely with our Retail Area Manager and provide key elements of the on-boarding process when needed for new team members.

  • Maintain reputation and profile of the Earl of East brand within local communities, fostering appropriate business relationships and leading relevant special events that demonstrate Earl of East’s commitment to rewarding their customers.

Requirements:

  • An excellent communicator, who fosters friendly working relationships and a collaborative working style.

  • Have strong written & verbal communication skills and the ability to prioritise tasks under pressure.

  • Have the confidence and willingness to sell products that require specialist knowledge and inspire team to do the same.

  • Be business savvy and have the ability to highlight ideas, opportunities and challenges.

  • Manage relationships with neighbours, local authorities & partners to the benefit of the business.

  • Have an entrepreneurial spirit, an eye for numbers with a desire to grow store revenue.

b] Retail Assistant, London, UK

In this role, you will actively seek dialogues with Earl of East customers. You’ll ensure the highest level of service and display and interest and understanding of independent designers and the range of goods we carry and produce.

Purpose of the Role:

We are looking for a dedicated and passionate retail assistant located at our Earl of East Kings Cross space. The successful applicant will be part of a team of energetic individuals who are collectively responsible for representing the Earl of East brand and its values and hit retails targets. This is a full-time position and typically you will be required to work weekends, but flexibility is key.

You will assist in keeping the store environment tidy and presentable.

You will welcome guests into the space and forge dialogues with confidence and knowledge to build customer relationships. 

The successful candidate will be a skilled professional, able to grace this role with passion, attention to detail and joy. 

As Retail Assistant, you'll have to:

  • Have had previous experience in retail

  • Show interest and knowledge of products across categories

  • Deliver our exceptional approach to customer service and operational excellence consistently

  • Maintain and present the store

  • Work in a friendly, collaborative manner & communicate effectively

  • Have the confidence and willingness to sell products that require specialist knowledge

c] Studio Assistant (Maker), London, UK - Full Time: 5 OR 4 Days a Week (starting date in mid August)

As Studio Assistant (Maker) you’ll be part of the wider team of dedicated individuals across the business, who are collectively responsible for representing the Earl of East brand and its values. The Studio Assistant (maker) will be a natural team player working collaboratively with other Studio Assistants reporting into the Production Lead.

As Studio Assistant, you'll have to:

Make the entire Earl of East range in our London based studio. 

Work alongside your Studio Manager, hitting milestones and KPIs

Coordinate between making different ranges at different stages & ensuring  workflow and deadlines are met.

Carry out regular inventory checks and making sure stock levels are adequate.

Adhere to Health and Safety procedures, risk assessments and good manufacturing process (GMP) at all times.

Maintain studio in presentable conditions at all times. 

Have excellent organisational, written and presentation skills and attention to detail. 

Be vocal part of the studio team and update wider business in weekly meetings.
