Amarena Negroni Recipe. A Cherry-Infused Twist on a Classic Italian Cocktail

As the days stretch and the evening light softens, we lean into one of our favourite Summer rituals; Aperitivo. Inspired by the depth of Italian flavour and our new Primavera Estate range, the Amarena Negroni offers a rich, fruit-forward take on the classic.

Using dark Amarena cherry syrup and the finest vermouth, it’s a drink perfect for slow sipping as the sun sets.

Ingredients

- 25ml Italian Gin (look for one with citrus or herbal notes)
- 25ml Campari
- 25ml Sweet Vermouth (e.g. Carpano Antica Formula)
- 10ml Amarena cherry syrup
- 1–2 Amarena cherries (for garnish)
- Optional: Orange peel for an aromatic twist

Method

1. Combine gin, Campari, sweet vermouth, and Amarena syrup in a mixing glass filled with ice.
2. Stir gently for 30 seconds to chill and dilute.
3. Strain into a rocks glass over a large cube.
4. Garnish with Amarena cherries and, if you like, an orange twist.
