Broadway Market, London Fields
Broadway Market and London Fields play home to some wonderful businesses and stores, plus a high quota of excellent places to eat and drink. There’s plenty to do here any day of the week, though it’s on a Saturday that the market is on, and so if you’re able to visit then (and quite like a bustling crowd) it’s a must.

Victoria Park, Hackney
Anointed The People's Park, Victoria Park is deservedly adored by East Londoners for its expansive greenness and social history. Though often bustling, there are tranquil spots to be found. The beautiful Village is adjacent, and perfect for browsing, picking up picnic supplies or for a leisurely lunch.
Telegraph Hill, Lewisham
Telegraph Hill boasts a pretty special view of the city. A great choice for a picnic anytime of day, but especially to watch the sun go down on long summer evenings.
London Fields Lido, Hackney
Cool off with a refreshing swim at the London Fields Lido, then grab a takeaway bite to eat and enjoy in the surrounding park. Just make sure you book in plenty of time as it's a popular one (with good reason!)
Hollow Ponds, Waltham Forest
A new nature discovery of ours since we moved East, the Hollow Ponds area offers walking trails through woodland and plenty of open space to sit and relax too. Hire a boat and spend an hour or half on the water.
