Viagem Scented Soy Wax Candle 260ml by Earl of East

Your favourite Earl of East scent is now available in a larger size, in a beautifully crafted luxury amber, screen-printed recyclable glass vessel. Each candle is expertly hand-poured and finished by our team in London using the finest soy wax and bespoke fragrance blends all inspired by our favourite places and memories. The candle is presented in a beautiful rigid gift box and sleeve, making it an ideal option for a gift.

This scent was created by Earl of East after a trip to Lisbon in Portugal. Working with a blend of sweet coconut, green oregano and earthy vetiver to exhilarate the fig leaf, creating a sense of hazy & balmy summer nights. The aim was to reinvent the scent of the whole fig tree, from the crisp verdancy and the bitter stems, the bark and the freshness of the sap. When burning the combination of both earthy and sweet notes create and inspiring atmosphere.

We visited Portugal for the first time in 2016. It was a short city break to Lisbon and we didn't really know what to expect. We instantly fell in love with the city's pace, it's streets and people, back then it felt somehow forgotten, so much so you would peer into closed store windows and it was like looking into a museum.

The trip provided so much inspiration for us, and before we knew it we were mapping out our scent inspired by the city. In fact, it was the picture taken of a fig tree, seemingly growing out of someone's front door that inspired this scent.

Since the release of Viagem, we have revisited Portugal several times, meeting fellow makers and hosting candle making workshops with our local friends.
