Reed Diffusers in Atlas Cedar by Earl of East
Grounding, warm and enveloping. Atlas Cedar opens with dry cedarwood and olive leaf, bringing a sense of calm structure to a space before settling into soft white musk and subtle resinous warmth that lingers in the background.
Designed for steady, understated diffusion, this is a woody reed diffuser suited to bedrooms, home offices and medium-sized living rooms. Spaces where you want depth and comfort without overwhelming the room.
Atlas Cedar performs best when allowed to diffuse slowly. Fewer reeds create a smoother, more sophisticated scent experience.

Directions for use:
Insert 5–6 reeds and allow up to 24 hours for initial diffusion. Flip the reeds after the first hour, then again after 2–3 days to fully activate the scent. Thereafter, flip weekly to refresh.
Avoid flipping too frequently, as this can accelerate evaporation and shorten the lifespan of the diffuser. Avoid placing directly beside radiators or in cold drafts for best performance.

Reed Diffuser FAQs
How long does a 150ml reed diffuser last?
Our 150ml alcohol-free reed diffusers typically last between 8–12 weeks, depending on room size, temperature and the number of reeds used. Using more reeds will increase projection but may shorten longevity slightly.
How many reeds should I use?
For small rooms (8–12m²), start with 4–5 reeds.
For medium rooms (12–18m²), use 6 reeds.
For larger spaces, use 7–8 reeds.
Adjust based on your preference and room airflow.
How long does it take for a reed diffuser to start working?
Allow 24 hours for the reeds to fully saturate. For best performance, flip the reeds after the first hour, then again after 2–3 days. Full diffusion is usually noticeable within 48 hours.
Why can’t I smell my reed diffuser?
Room temperature, airflow and reed quantity all affect performance. In colder UK homes, diffusion can be slower. Try adding one extra reed or flipping the reeds to refresh the scent.
Are alcohol-free reed diffusers better?
Alcohol-free reed diffusers release fragrance more gradually, creating a steadier, longer-lasting scent experience. They evaporate more slowly than alcohol-based formulas and tend to feel softer and more continuous.
Where should I place my reed diffuser?
Place your diffuser at waist height or above in an area with natural air movement. Avoid placing directly beside radiators, open windows or in cold drafts, as this can affect performance and longevity.
Can I use all 8 reeds?
Yes, but we recommend adjusting based on room size. Using all 8 reeds in a small room may create a stronger projection and shorten the lifespan of the diffuser.
